Current ICT Project Competition
that promotes your school and shows all the fantastic activities that take place there.
The Rules
We wanted the rules to be as simple as possible so how about no rules!
Perhaps not, so here are a few.
1. Your movie pupil team should contain a minimum of 6 primary aged pupils.
2. Only one entry per school.
3. The movie content and structure on the theme 'Our Fantastic School' must be created by the pupil team and be no longer than 5 minutes.
4. The movie should be created in the free MovieMaker template provided by ourselves.
5. You must follow your school's Internet Safety Policy.
6. Entries need to be submitted by July 9th. 2010.
7. You must enjoy it and learn lots.
Sounds good, so how do we get started?
The first step is to register using the form below. We will confirm your application and provide you with a quick link to our
Movie Project page. This includes:
Project Template, Getting Started Guide, MovieMaker tips, Question and Answers etc.
Important: registering does not commit you to making an official entry but it does enable you to access the Project guidance and help.
Why not use the project to develop ICT use by staff and pupils right across the school. You could run it as a whole school
project with each class making their own movie. The project provides an ideal vehicle for progressing ICT skills in staff
and pupils whilst being involved in an enjoyable activity for a real purpose.
Yes, but we haven't got the Microsoft MovieMaker software!
Not a problem. The Microsoft MovieMaker software is free and very easy to use. We will provide download instructions in the Getting Started Guide but do check if you already have it - look in Programs.
Are there any prizes?
There certainly are. All particpating schools will receive certificates and publicity in the educational press.
We will let you know more nearer the end date.
